Kyrgyzstan: International organizations are concerned by the bill to penalize sex work

OPEN LETTER TO THE GOVERNMENT OF KYRGYZSTAN REGARDING PROPOSAL TO AMEND THE ADMINSTRATIVE CODE TO PENALIZE SEX WORK

4 internaitonal organizations expressed their concern with the proposed law to introduce administrative penalty for sex work in Kyrgyzstan.

Association for Women’s Rights in Development (AWID),Center for Women's Global Leadership, Rutgers University,Sex Workers’ Rights Advocacy Network of Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia (SWAN) and Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network in their open letter addressed the President of Kyrgyz Republic and his office to stop the bill and provided reasons why and how such administrative code will change the situation with human rights and health in Kyrgyzstan.
