
The SWAN Strategic Plan 2018-2020 outlines the mission, values, goals and strategies of our network.

17th of December is marked by sex workers internationally as the International day to End Violence against Sex Workers to raise awareness of the violence against sex workers worldwide, demand justice for the human rights violations sex workers face and to remember the lives of loved ones.

Between 18-19th of November, SWAN provided technical assistance to Woman for Freedom in Georgia, for their 2-day advocacy planning meeting with their members.

Between 23rd and 27th July 2018, more than 120 sex workers from more than 25 countries attended the 22nd International AIDS Conference (AIDS2018) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The bi-annual International AIDS Conferences are the largest global gathering of HIV academics, implementers, policy makers, people living with HIV and those most affected by HIV, including sex workers.

SWAN and activists Natalia Isaieva and Elena Fiskova from Legalife Ukraine organised a 4 day-long training in Balti, Moldova between 24-27th of October for service providers and sex workers with the financial support of UNFPA. The training was organised in the frame of the Fast track HIV/TB regional project (Cities project).

The International AIDS Conference 2018 is takeing place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, between 23rd and 27th July 2018.
SWAN will be present in Sex Workers Networking Zone and EECA Regional Communities Networking Zone within the framework of the campaign 'Chase the Virus, Not People'.

The Regional Community Networks Consortium (RCNC) of five regional networks in EECA has successfully developed and submitted a proposal for the Global Fund. RCNC undertook this step for addressing continuing and increasing growth of the HIV epidemic in EECA and the fact that the most affected by HIV populations such as drug users, men who have sex with men, sex workers, women living with HIV, transgender people and other, have strongly insufficient access to HIV prevention, support and treatment services.
