Bulgaria: Sixth Annual Meeting of NGOs working with sex workers

The sixth annual national meeting of NGOs working with sex workers was held on December 5 - 7 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The aim of the meeting was to exchange information and work experiences.

That includes regular outreach work and problems related to it, relationship with other non-governmental organizations, collaboration with municipalities and other governmental structures.


Among the topics discussed were changes in the numbers of sex workers in Bulgaria; changing conditions in the paid sex scene; working with MSM; low threshold day center experiences; managing police intervention; working with local authorities, etc.
