The 6th Conference on Prostitution, Sex Work and Human Trafficking

The conference location will be the University of Toledo in Ohio USA from the 1st to the 2nd of October 2009. The purpose of this conference is to bring together researchers and practitioners in an effort to lay the groundwork for future collaborative research, advocacy, and program development.

It also aims to educate social service, health care, and criminal justice professionals on human trafficking and the needs and risks of those victimized by the commercial sex industry. The themes of the conference are:

  • Paradigms, Perspectives & Policies

  • LGBTQ Perspectives on the Sex Industry 
This conference is open to researchers, practitioners, and workers in the social service, criminal justice, and health care fields. 
English will be the only language used during the conference.
Registration is now open and there does not appear to be any graded system for determining conference fees. Participants can participate in only one or both days. More information can be found here.
