Resignation of Randall Tobias

The Sex Workers Project at the Urban Justice Center (SWP) and the global Network of Sex Work Projects (NSWP), used the event to re-focus some of the media coverage away from the sensationalistic, and towards the fact that, as head of USAID, Tobias was the principal enforcer of the Anti-Prostitution Pledge. SWP and NSWP successfully highlighted the negative impact the Anti- Prostitution Pledge has had on sex workers around the world – an angle that the press would probably not have picked up otherwise.
