6 октября 2017 года в своих заключительных замечаниях к шестому периодическому обзору Комитет ООН по экономическим, социальным и культурным правам (КЭСКП) рекомендовал России декриминализировать секс-работу . Эта рекомендация была результатом адвокации членов СВАН Серебряная Роза из Санкт-Петербурга и Новая Жизнь из Екатеринбурга.

The UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR) recommended that Russia decriminalise sex work on 6 of October 2017, in their concluding observations to Russia’s sixth periodic review. This recommendation was the result of advocacy by SWAN members Silver Rose, a sex worker organisation in St. Petersburg, and New Life from Ekaterinburg.

Between 10 th -12 th November, 2016, in Budapest, Hungary, SWAN in collaboration with IWRAW Asia Pacific hosted a Regional Meeting to discuss follow-ups on Concluding Observations given by the Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW Committee) to 10 countries in the CEECA region - Georgia, Hungary, Lithuania, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine.

 Thematic briefing meeting


At 24th of February, in Geneva, Switzerland, SWAN and members Tais Plus-Kyrgyzstan, HOPS-Macedonia and Silver Rose-Russia had a thematic briefing meeting with CEDAW Committee members. The meeting was organized in collaboration with IWRAW Asia Pacific  and supported by OSF. Fifteen (15) Committee members participated at the meeting.

February - March 2013, Macedonian civil society organizations submitted two shadow reports to the 54-th CEDAW session, one of which reflected the issues of human rights violations of sex workers.
