Anchorwoman: In a shocking incident of moral policing, hoodlums allegedly belonging to Sri Ram Sena, struck in Mangalore on Saturday. Around 40 people reportedly barged into a pub on Balmatha road, and viciously attacked girls who were at the pub. At least two women have been hospitalized. The hoodlums were manhandling the girls who were in the pub. Now the Sri Ram Sena and Bajrang Dal have reportedly separately claimed responsibility for the attacks. A ghastly incident indeed – Marathal Kusna (journalist) is with us live from Mangalore. Marathal, describe for us what exactly happened out there.

Journalist: Well, it was around 2:30 last afternoon that this incident had taken place. In fact, two persons had entered this area. They, of course, had approached the management of a particular lounge/bar called Amnesia, in [and area] of Mangalore. They had in fact said that they had heard that there was drug abuse taking place the previous night. When they were told that this was actually just a regular lounge where people were having their lunch and perhaps a drink along side – When they entered this place – a group of about another 35-40 individuals just barged in and mercilessly started beating some of the customers over there. The police have arrested three persons associated with this incident. Several others, of course, are responding to the admonishing. The authorities are also being very cagy about coming out in the open and talking on this particular issue […] After, infact, these pictures have been telecasted, certainly we can hope for some action.
