The national sex workers association has demanded the State Government increase health funding for its Tasmanian members.
The Scarlet Alliance is calling on the government to fund a dedicated health organisation for sex workers.
It says Tasmania is the only state or territory that does not have its own long term organisation for sex workers.
The President of the Scarlett Alliance, Elena Jeffreys, says it’s leaving individuals vulnerable and without support.

“HIV STI prevention and human rights for sex workers are delivered around the world in what we know as a partnership model where communities are delivering services that are funded by their State Government health department,” she said.
