SWAN Programme Officers, with regional experts and activists from Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan as co-facilitators, organised the online training series on SWIT. Each webinar focused on different parts of SWIT such as Community Empowerment, Violence, Condom and Lubricant Programming, Community-led Services, Program Management and Organisational Capacity Building and 15 Activists were guided through chapter by chapter with additional examples of practices given from CEECA region.

Plans for the roll out of the SWIT amongst sex worker community in the future were also discussed and Lilith from Right Side NGO said: ‘The SWIT is quite extensive but now we have an idea on how to use it four our purposes. The knowledge we gained through these webinars can be integrated in our Strategic Planning process this September.’

With the webinar series Right Side NGO and SWAN started collaborating closer and SWAN provided additional motivation and support for their efforts towards community building and inclusion of sex workers. SWAN Programme Officer Trajche said: ‘By using the SWIT and learning its recommendation, we can acquire the best knowledge in order to address the unique needs of sex workers.’
