This conference will focus on the impact and nature of violence in our social lives. From an academic standpoint, one of the aims of the conference is to add to the existing body of thought on violence and its place within society. This conference is only open to delegates who have submitted an accepted abstract/proposal. Click here for more information on the call for submissions.

Registration
The deadline for registration is November 27th 2009. The delegate fees are fixed and the deadline for payment of invoices is January 8th 2010.
Abstracts
The main themes of the 2010 conference are: What Counts as Violence and What’s Wrong with It; The Context of Violence; Explaining and Understanding Violence; Representing Violence. The conference organisers also welcome proposals that either extend or compliment the themes above.
The deadline for submitting abstracts for the conference is September 25th 2009. The organisers will respond to all paper proposal submissions by October 23rd 2009. If the abstract is accepted, a full draft paper should be submitted on the 5th of February 2010.
