17th December is the International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers. Since 2003 this day is marked around the world, especially in countries where sex work is illegal and criminalized. By marking this day attention is drawn to the crimes committed against sex workers all over the world as well as the need for decreasing stigma and discrimination of this very vulnerable population.

In the framework of the activity program of the Association PROI is providing services and work with a population of female sex workers. Publishing this letter we want to contribute to the marking of 17th December and to express support for initiatives aimed at pointing out the importance of respecting and protecting human rights.
