Campaign highlights: Our Voices, Our Rights in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, December 17, 2007 — Our Voices, Our Rights is the title of the newsletter produced by sex workers from Kyrgyzstan, in a drop-in center run by Tais Plus, SWAN member from Kyrgyzstan and the organizer of Rights, not Violence in this Central Asian country. More

The newsletter, prepared and distributed during the campaign Rights, not Violence, includes stories about the history of December 17 and red umbrella, a translation of the SWAN petition for 17 December, interviews by sex workers, an article about the Declaration on the Rights of Sex Workers in Europe, articles written by sex workers on “Our rights” and “How I see the future”, plus cards, great collages made at the workshop and lots of red umbrellas… Read the Russian version (PDF).
